Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker's relationship spanned nearly a decade, going from prison pen pals to an engagement, a multi-year split, and eventually parenthood before Urker's sudden death on October 1, 2026.
Deputies from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Double H Drive in Raceland, Louisiana, at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, following a call. Urker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dylan Blanchard, Gypsy's brother, went to see about Urker, climbed in through an open window and found him dead at the scene. Manner and time of death have yet to be confirmed by an autopsy. According to some, Urker had a previous drug habit but no history of addiction has surfaced. He was arrested for a DUI in 2016.
Autumn Urker, the decedent's sister, claimed that Gypsy and Ken’s relationship was “over a month ago.” She also alleged that Gypsy was telling people that “they were engaged and planning a baby number two,” but “none of that was true.”
Autumn added that it was Ken’s decision to call it quits, explaining, “When he was like, ‘I’m done,’ she’d do a thing, and so it was a fight whenever they split.”
