January 7, 2026 -- At 4:17 p.m., Jurupa Valley Sheriff deputies and Eastvale Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 6700 block of Leanne Street, Eastvale, in connection with an illegal marijuana cultivation investigation.
During the service of the warrant, deputies determined the residence had been converted to support an illegal indoor marijuana operation. Deputies seized over 2000 marijuana plants, which have an estimated street value of over one million dollars. The total estimated loss from utility theft was approximately $145,000.
The Eastvale Code Enforcement Team and representatives from Southern California Edison responded to the scene. Code Enforcement conducted a separate investigation and identified multiple building code violations associated with the property.
The Eastvale Special Enforcement Team is working to identify the suspect(s) involved in this incident. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details will be released.
